About the position:

For a position as a Ph.D. Candidate, the goal is a completed doctoral education up to an obtained doctoral degree.

A Ph.D. position is available at the Department of Chemical Engineering. This position is financed by the Research Council of Norway within a project entitled “Robust and high-performance membranes for CO2 separation from natural gas coupled with EOR (MEMCO2)”. The project team offers a unique opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research on a new approach in gas separation membrane development. You will work in a supportive and innovative environment at NTNU, collaborating closely with leading experts in SINTEF and international partners from the US and France. This position is not only promising access to state-of-the-art research facilities at NTNU and SINTEF, but also includes a period of exchange stay with international partners, enhancing your global research experience.

The appointment has a duration of 3 years with the possibility of up to 1 year extension with 25% teaching duties in agreement with the department. The proposed starting date is April 2025.

This Ph.D. position will be supervised by Prof. Liyuan Deng.

This demands a wide range of knowledge, from molecular processes and nanotechnology to building and operation of large processing plants. We educate graduates for some of Norway's most important industries. The Department of Chemical Engineering is one of eight departments in the Faculty of Natural Sciences.
